Our website address is: http://staycation.im. and this has been developed by SBCL to help provide a place for local businesses to promote themselves and a source of information for island residents who may want to experience a holiday and activities on the Isle of Man.

This privacy notice tells you what to expect when Staycation Isle of Man collects personal information.

Your rights

Under the Data Protection Act, you have rights as an individual which you can exercise in relation to the information we hold about you when you submit a listing.

At any point while we are in possession of or processing your personal information, you, as the data subject have the right to access a copy of this information, request that inaccurate or incomplete data is corrected, the data can be erased on request.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Listing Form

When you submit a listing for your business we collect the following:-

Your Name and Email – so that we can contact you about your listing.

Listing Title – this is so we can display and let people quickly recognise the type of business or activity and its location.

Listing Description – this provides a snapshot of the services you provide, methods of booking and any other relevant information. This could include your name, contact details etc.

Listing Image – this is a graphic representation of your business, a photo, a logo a montage that conveys who you are and what you do.

Contact form

Visitors, Contributors or Businesses can contact Staycation.im to ask various questions about the site, manage a listing or for other purposes. We collect the following:

Your Name and Email – so we can reply to your question or take action and respond when completed.

Subject – this helps us determine the nature of your question.

Your Message – this provides further details on your question or request.

Cookies

Like most websites, the Staycation.im website uses cookies to collect information.  Cookies are small data files which are placed on your computer or other devices (such as smart ‘phones or ‘tablets’) as you browse this website.  They are used to ‘remember’ when your computer or device accesses our websites.  Cookies are essential for the effective operation of our websites.

This site uses the Google Analytics service. This service helps us analyse how visitors use our Website. We do not collect through the Google service or transfer to Google any personal identifiable information. We only use the Google service to record, on a completely anonymous basis, information such as mouse clicks, mouse movements, scrolling activity as well as non-Personally Identifiable Information text you type in this website.

Who we share your data with

We do not share your data with any 3rd parties, individual or organisations at this time and will update this policy should that change if we enhance the site with paid advertising, content or embedded client booking mechanisms.

How long we retain your data

We will retain your data/listing on our site for a period of years determined by the operation of the website. You can request your listing be removed or after a period of time has passed, we become aware that your business or property has ceased trading we will remove the data. In each case we will check first with the current contact details.

You may also request removal of your listing at any time and this will be processed within 72hrs unless we cannot access the website due to connectivity issues or computer malfunction upon such occasion we will notify you by email.

For users that use any of the forms on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide within our email system. We will retain this while a listing remains active.

Your Listing

Businesses and Individuals offering services aligned to providing Staycation holidays can list currently for free. Should this change then details will be displayed on the appropriate pages.

Listings are currently manually reviewed and added after submission. Any categorisation and tags are added at the discretion of Staycation.im – if feel those displayed are not relevant or incorrect then please contact us.

There is currently no login username/password to manage your listing – should this change then you will be notified by email.

No reliance on information

The content on our site is provided for general information only. It is not intended to amount to advice on which you should rely. You must obtain professional or specialist advice before taking, or refraining from, any action on the basis of the content on our site.

Although we make reasonable efforts to update the information on our site, we make no representations, warranties or guarantees, whether express or implied, that the content on our site is accurate, complete or up-to-date.

Limitation of our liability
